It’s time for our annual Hero’s Journey with Horses for youth! This is such an important time of life and we are thrilled to offer this meaningful opportunity.
This program offers a pathway for empowerment and self-discovery for youth. This 2 /12 day camp will provide self-esteem boosting, confidence building experiences. Our next camp is for girls, ages 11-13!
Youth today- face incredible challenges, be it disconnections from social interaction via electronic devices, low self-esteem, being bullied, the impact of the pandemic and on and on. All of which can create difficult behaviors, anxiety, acting out and some tough times for all, including parents and caregivers.
During these fun and powerful workshops children & youth learn to communicate feelings in healthy ways and gain tools to increase self-esteem and much more. Really to discover the hero within!
“A Hero’s Journey meant an experience meeting new friends (humans and horses) finding out more about myself, learning things I never knew before, and supporting friends through challenges.” ~Bernadette, 11
“I’m so lucky to be here! I met new friends. Some human, some not. But, I’m so glad to have come and will be coming again if I get the chance.” ~ Brylee, 13
“I felt like my daughter could explore her emotions in a non-threatening way. Traditional counseling has brought little success with getting to her feelings. This experience with Brenda and the horses had a much better influence on my daughter and she wants to do the program again!” S.G., Kalispell
“You feel really comfortable and at home. You get to be with horses. You get to color. You get to eat lunch with friends you make. You make friends. Honestly, it was life changing! I loved it. I wish it would never end.” CB, age 10
“It is life changing and trustworthy. So fun. So cool. I learned how to trust and ask for help! It is awesome!” MB, age 10
“I had an amazing time here. I made an emotional connection with the horses. People should come here if they have anxiety. It is really calming.” Morgan G-H, 12, 3rd year alumni
